The Instagram scroll when I discovered Newton School changed the course of my career.

College, for most of us, is all about passing exams and strictly theoretical knowledge. There is little or almost no focus on practical exposure . Most of my mates and I were busy cramming codes rather than thinking about getting some practical industrial knowledge. So it was not in any way good for my career planning or for my coding career, that I was much interested in!

I was very confused during my college days and was not very much sure about my future and what I will do after my college. I did some basic obligatory, course-related C, C++ during my college but just for the sake of exams. It was at this point that I got to know about Newton School through Instagram. So I thought about enrolling and getting into something beneficial, after some prior knowledge. I didn’t know the effect that one scroll would have in my life.

Newton School changed the course of my career. I undertook some small projects and learned new skills which I was unaware about . After that I realized that programming encourages me to think practically rather than theoretically . Newton school considered this and helped students like me evolve in all aspects whether it was practical or theoretical.

When I graduated in 2019 I had two options-either take a job in a service based company or study and get into a product based company. I called Sidharth sir and he advised me to study rather than getting into a service based company. I was from the first batch of the Newton School and we started doing projects, getting assignments and this basically helped me gain a different exposure. Besides,having personal mentors, assisting us in everything such as Data Structures , major projects and all the industry and technical skills. The regular mock interviews helped us a lot in preparing for the interview and at the end, getting a job was a cherry on the cake!

My suggestion to all the graduates out there, if you’re looking for a well-paid job and establishing your career in the corporate industry sector, I recommend Newton School to all those aspiring to make it big!
